I wrote this song after a very intense period where I listened, and tried to play, old blues music - mainly piano based 20's, 30's and 40's. Wonderful songs and lyrics and lots of great characters, who performed them.
lyrics
Oh! Woman (You don’t treat me right)
When I see you walking out there
With another man (with another woman)
Can’t you see it breaks me up
Don’t you understand
I’m Your Man – You’re my Woman
I’m Your Man – You’re my Woman
I’m a fool who’s on his knees
Just begging you to stay
Don’t you walk on thro’ that door
Must be another way
Chorus
I’m Your Man – You’re my Woman
I’m Your Man – You’re my Woman
But you don’t try, you don’t try
You don’t try and stop those tears in my eyes
Oh! Oh! Woman you don’t treat me right or (oh my man you don’t treat me right)
Oh! Oh! Woman you don’t treat me right
Oh! Oh! Woman you don’t treat me right
All I do is try and love you, you just walk away
You just want to leave me baby, I want you to stay
I’m Your Man – You’re my Woman
I’m Your Man – You’re my Woman
All I want is you to hold me, again and again
But you can’t wait to say goodbye for some other man
