I see this song as a tribute to the old Jazz trios of the 40's and 50's, Nat King Cole and his trio in San Francisco when they started out. It was supposed to be Piano, Double Bass and Brushes with a late night vocal. It didn't quite turn out that way. I must try and encourage a up and coming jazz singer and trio to sing it!!
lyrics
That’s Love
You get a warning sometimes when loves on the run
You get a warning sometimes before it’s all gone
So keep your eyes open ‘cos love can walk on
Heed that warning, its love then it’s gone
Chorus
That’s Love Oh Oh That’s love
There’s nothing you can do
It turns your head and breaks your heart but
That’s Love (That’s Love) That’s Love (That’s Love?) Oh That’s Love
You can see it in her face just before she leaves
You can see it in her eyes just the way she feels
It was love and it was real loves whisper to a shout
You get a warning sometimes but it’s always too late
Chorus then Middle
You won’t find the solution, To save your heart and soul
You can try, but love won’t fall
It’s all down to evolution, and it’s never your call
So stick with Mr Lucky, and the dice that he rolls
You get a warning sometimes and it passes you by
You get a warning sometimes and in a wink of an eye
Your all by yourself and you wish’d you had seen
The warning signs a-comin’ well you know what I mean
Chorus
That’s Love
You get a warning sometimes when loves on the run
You get a warning sometimes before it’s all gone
So keep your eyes open ‘cos love can walk on
