This is The Floorboard Family’s very first album. All the songs were written by Francis and Richard. It was produced by Francis and recorded, mixed and mastered by Richard at Canterbury Sound Studio.
The music is finely balanced between Roots, Country Blues and Ballads and obviously “Good Time” music in between!
Geoffrey Richardson really plays out of his skin on all the tracks - with the help of Richard on electric guitar and piano and Tony on percussion. All the tracks were recorded “live in the studio" with the band in the main room, with most of the tracks nailed by the second take! This gives the whole album a warm, intimate feel.
